50 And Still Playing Ball

Years ago, I never thought I would spend my 50th birthday playing baseball but that is what I did this morning in the Over-35 League here in Denver.
Our team, the Orioles, check that the Rattlers is our new name, played and played poorly in an 18-7 loss to the Buffaloes today.
Our new uniforms are ugly but not as hideous as today's loss.
Still, just to be still playing the game I've loved as a kid is a victory in my book. We'll get better too. We better get better.
As for me, I went 1-2 with an RBI single.
