The No Hopers

There are several teams that have no chance of winning the World Series this year for a myriad of reasons. Consistently bad ownership, mediocre manager, lack of talent or the nickname Cubs.
While this is the time when hope springs eternal, I will reveal the teams that have no shot at all to win the World Series. Even if everything goes right, these teams will just be meandering aimlessly through the schedule until it's time to go home and let the big boys play in the post-season.
Consider this a public service announcement so you don't get your hopes up only to have them come crashing back to earth mid-May when your team is hopelessly out of it.
So here now are the "No Hopers" for 2012.
National League:
Mets
Pirates
Astros
Cubs
Padres
American League:
Orioles
Royals
Twins
Mariners
Athletics
There are several teams that are close to being No Hopers but they still have an outside shot if everything goes right and the front runners have everything go wrong. But the above are my 10 no way, no how, no chance and no hope to win the World Series.
Please note that if one of the "no hopers" does in fact win the series, then, well, I'll eat crow for certain and I'll never hear the end of it I'm sure. But I'm not worried at all.
