My pal Jeff Andrews, die hard Red Sox fan and my original co-host on the Artificial Turf radio show, looks at the Sox slow start differently than most Boston fans.
In an e-mail he wrote of the Red Sox 0-4 start, "I guess if the Sox are going to win 100 this year, you can look at it like this: They’ve already gotten 4 of those pesky 62 losses out of the way."
When he said "pesky" I don't think he was talking about the legendary Johnny Pesky. By the way, Johnny Pesky is 91 and still a part of the Red Sox organization. He also was a career .307 hitter. He might also be the only person on the planet to have a foul pole named after him.
I hope Jeff e-mails me tomorrow about the Bostons 0-5 start.
