Death, taxes and Ichiro collecting 200 hits.
Mariners outfielder Ichiro Suzuki is incredible. He has 35 hits so far and he's on pace to gather 218 on the season.
Not surprising since in his previous 10 seasons he's topped the 200 hit barrier each year. Actually, his lowest hit total was 206 in 2005.
I love watching him play. He's a hit machine, runs hard to first every time and gets a lot of infield hits, plus he is a master in the outfield with a cannon for an arm.
That is why I'm baffled to why Kevin Wheeler of KMOX radio, who comes on our radio show every Sunday night, is not a big Ichiro fan. He thinks Suzuki is selfish.
To me, baseball is the one sport where a guy can be somewhat selfish. If a player for me gets 200 hits with the regularity of Ichiro, then he can be selfish all he wants.
