Hurdle Back in Denver

A couple of dopey, out of touch sports talk show hosts here in Denver were wondering the other day if Clint Hurdle would be booed tonight, his first appearance at Coors Field following his 2009 firing as manager of the Rockies.
Hurdle, now piloting the Pirates, is off to an 11-14 start which classifies as a torrid start these days in Pittsburgh.
So, will Clint Hurdle get booed?
Absolutely not.
Why would anyone boo Hurdle?
He was here a long time and took the Rockies to their first and only World Series in 2007. There is no reason to boo him.
Plus, Rockies fans are pretty tame when compared to other cities like New York, Boston and Philadelphia. It takes a lot for the people of Colorado to boo an individual.
I'm certain that Hurdle will get a nice round of applause from the Rockies faithful. And guess what? He deserves it.
