The Rocks got past the Cubs tonight 4-3 to improve to 3-2 on the road trip and a Major League best 10-3 away from home. Not bad for a team that historically has been wretched on the road, including last year's lame 31-50 mark.
A great sign tonight was Todd Helton who belted a pair of solo homers. If the Rockies can get a decent season out of their first baseman, that would be huge. So nice to see him knock a couple out. He now has 336 lifetime homers.
I don't know how long he'll play and his tank is closer to empty than full. But when it's all said and done, Helton will go down as one of my favorite players ever. Class with a capital C.
